HUNTINGTON BEACH, California/USA (Sunday, July 28, 2013) - Brazilian Pro Surfer Alejo Muniz (BRA) defeated local favorite Kolohe Andino of San Clemente (USA) to win the Vans US Open in 2- to 3-feet high waves. Alejo scored a total of 16.24 points against Kolohe score of 15.54. "I cannot believe this," said Alejo Muniz immediately following his victory. He dedicated the win to his late grandparents.
