CARSON, California/USA (Saturday, Aug 24 2013) - Jhonny Gonzales takes orders from his trainer hall of famer Nacho Beristain moments before the Mares vs Gonzalez bout. Mexican pro boxer Jhonny Gonzalez (55-8, 47 KOs) claimed the WBC Featherweight belt by TKO in the first round during his fight with Abner Mares (27-1-1, 14 KO's) at the StubHub Center (formerly Home Depot Center) in Carson, California USA. Jhonny (blue trunks) sent Abner Mares (black truncks) twice to the canvas in the first round. The main referee stopped the bout after the second knockdown at 2 minutes 55 seconds into the first round. This is Abner first loss in his pro boxing career. August 24, 2013 in Carson, California.
